Angus Soft Fruits is a £180million leading supplier of berries to UK and European retailers.
The company needed to recruit four Retail Account Manager roles to support the many retailers it serves. Despite Angus Soft Fruits being a well-established business with a strong market and customer base, the challenge was finding quality candidates with previous or current fresh produce experience commutable to Evesham – a small market town in Worcestershire.
We overcame the issue of location by actively identifying talent within other produce businesses locally. FMCG Selection were very specific in who we wanted to attract and ensured that once we spoke with a potential candidate, we gave them enough reason to engage with the position. We worked extra hours to identify the right people. If there is a feat to be had, we do our damn hardest to fulfil it!
FMCG Selection went up against a recruiter who specialises in fresh food produce, however, we were able to make the four successful placements to demonstrate our ability to place specialist salespeople across the food industry.
