Head of Sales – Foodservice – Position now Fulfilled

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the UK’s fastest-growing frozen food businesses as National Account Controller. Part of a leading European food group comprising seven companies, the UK division specialises in producing high-quality private label, value-added vegetarian and meat-based frozen and chilled finger foods and party snacks.
The business has built a strong reputation within the industry, earning multiple awards, and boasts a significant presence across major grocery retailers & foodservice channels. With exciting NPD in the pipeline and ambitious growth plans, they are now seeking a National Account Controller to drive further expansion within the foodservice channel.
The Role
As National Account Controller, you will take full ownership of the foodservice strategy and growth agenda. You will be responsible for managing and expanding a well-established foodservice customer base, covering:
- National wholesalers (e.g., Brakes & Bidfood)
- Buying groups
- End-user customers, including restaurant, pub, hotel groups, and QSR chains
You will lead the launch of a new foodservice brand into the market and be responsible for selling products from both UK manufacturing sites and European production facilities.
Reporting into the UK Commercial Director, you will also play a key role in building a dedicated foodservice team. From day one, you will oversee a Foodservice NAM, with scope to grow the team further in line with business expansion. In addition to team development, your role will focus on identifying new trading opportunities, securing new customers, and strengthening relationships within the sector.
The Candidate
We are looking for a commercially driven foodservice professional who is eager to take on a strategic leadership role. To be successful, you will:
- Be currently operating in a foodservice focused commercial role, either as a NAM/SNAM in a larger business or Controller/Head of Foodservice in a smaller organisation
- Have experience in branded or private label food and a strong understanding of the NPD process
- Be a skilled negotiator with a proven track record of winning and developing new business
Location
This is a home-based role with travel required to customers and head office.

💰 £60,000 – £70,000
