NPD Site Lead

An exciting opportunity to join Europe’s leading food manufacturing businesses as NPD Site Lead is now available. You’ll support the future growth and business development strategy for our entire customer base. It will allow the right person to not only contribute to the day-to-day operational delivery (working within a multidisciplinary structure), but to lead on the long-term business strategy for the site. You’ll report directly into the Group Head of Innovation and manage a team of 5 direct reports. However, being a Leadership role, you’ll have the responsibility to shape, implement and maintain the launch of new and existing products delivered efficiently and in a timely and cost-effective manner for the business, in line with customer codes of practice and in conjunction with all appropriate stakeholders.

You’ll have a track record of leading high performing happy teams, through role modelling, motivation and coaching. You’ll have exceptional relationship and networking skills being able to not only influence and deliver projects to milestones working with other teams internally, but also externally through key stakeholders such as our clients. You’ll be able to interpret and develop action plans to incorporate requirements, transforming them into innovative outcomes that delight, creating a positive perception of the Cross Hands NPD team.

You’ll have extensive food industry experience in a Product Development role, with exposure and an understanding of foodservice/ retail customers ways of working, including some of the ‘Big 4’ UK retailers. You’ll also have an understanding and working knowledge of food science and manufacturing process.
