Home Based. Salary: £75,000 to £90,000, 20% Bonus, Company Car and Health Care.

An exciting opportunity to join one of the UK’s fastest growing chilled food businesses as Head of Sales is now available. Part of a wider European food group comprising of seven companies, The UK business produces high quality private label value added, vegetarian, free-from, plant- based and NPD driven dairy products. The business has a glowing reputation across the industry, and this been recognised through several awards. The business has a significant presence across the grocery multiple retailers, and they have some fantastic NPD in the pipeline. Following significant business growth and future business plans they are seeking a Head of Sales to join the team.

Role

As a Head of Sales, you will take overall direct responsibility for driving business across all customer channels, Grocery, Convenience & Export. Core customers within the retail channel include, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, M&S and Morrisons. Managing a team of 3 direct reports including a Senior NAM, and 2 NAMs you will set the strategic growth agenda and take overall responsibility for sales activity. In addition to the management and development of your team you will be responsible for developing new trading channels and customer relationships. Reporting into the Managing Director you can expect a great degree of autonomy to build and develop the business.

Requirements

The successful candidate for this position will be operating in a retail focused senior commercial role, you will be either operating at Account Controller/Account Director level in a larger business or at Head of Sales/Sales Director level in a smaller organisation. You will have extensive experience across the major grocery retailers. Private label experience & a strong understanding of the NPD process is essential. You will possess a minimum of 2 years people management experience. You will be a strong negotiator and have a track record of development new business.
