Our client is a leading bakery ingredients business based in North London. It’s a six-generation family business that makes and sells flour and mixes to all sectors of the food industry with an enviable reputation for quality and service. The business sells a large range of flours to bakeries, wholesalers, food manufacturers and all the major retailers. They are very much a family business with a “family feel” to it and a friendly culture. A great number of their team have worked in the business for many years. The company has recently completed a major investment building a state of the art, purpose-built blending and packaging facility located near to their existing site.
As Territory Manager you will take direct responsibility for a well-established account portfolio across wholesalers, bakeries and food manufacturers. Reporting into the General Sales Manager you will be tasked with maintaining and developing the existing business as well as developing new trading relationships. The areas your role will cover include; North & West London, Berkshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.
The successful candidate for this position will be a self-motivated sales professional with a track record of developing business within the food industry, ideally with experience of selling into food manufacturers or a similar customer channel in field-based role. It is essential that you have worked with food products and can have an appreciation for quality. My client is looking for an honest and driven individual who can make a difference in developing the business long term.
