An exciting opportunity to join one of the UK’s fastest growing family owned Bakery manufacturers as International Sales Manager is now available. Their product range includes both branded & private label Breads & Morning Goods. The business has achieved national distribution across the Retail, Wholesale and Foodservice channels, they have also seen huge success in the Export market. The business has seen phenomenal growth, within the last 4 years the business has grown from £60m to £180m, this growth has been accredited to the development of category leading NPD and the launch of a highly respected brand. The business has a glowing reputation across the industry and this has been recognised by this through a number of industry and supplier awards. Following their growth and increased demand for their products internationally, they are now seeking an International Sales Manager to join the team.

Key responsibilities

As International Sales Manager you will be responsible for the strategic growth of the Export market. You will work closely with existing customers & distributors across Europe, The Middle East and Far East. Key regions of growth include Benelux, Germany, France, Holland, Poland & Japan. Current trading relationships include Aldi, Lidl, Albert Heijn, Jumbo and Carrefour. In addition to growing the existing customer base you will be tasked with gaining new trading relationships. Over the past four years the Export channel has grown from £0 to £20m and there is huge scope for further growth. Reporting into the Head of Export and working in a team of 3 you can expect high levels of autonomy to ensure success in this role.


The successful candidate for this position will currently be working in an Export/International Sales role. You will have contacts and experience with the regions noted above. Experience within the Bakery industry would be highly advantageous. Any additional language skills would also be looked at very favourably. You will have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills in order to build relationships internally and with your customers. You will be an organised individual with strong numeracy and analytical skills as well as possessing an ambition to deliver set targets. This is a UK based role, which includes regular international travel as well as weekly visits to the businesses head office in Bedfordshire.
