An exciting opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading suppliers of premium value-added chilled food products as Head of Sales is now available. The business operates across 4 core product areas, they have a glowing reputation across the industry this been recognised through a number of industry and supplier awards. The business has significant presence across the Grocery, Foodservice, Wholesale, Business to Business and Export channels. Following significant business growth, and future busines plans they are seeking a Head of Sales to join the team.

Role

As a Head of Sales, you will take overall direct responsibility for driving business across all customer channels. Core customers within the retail channel include, Tesco, M&S, Waitrose, Asda & Lidl. Managing a team of 4 direct reports including 1 Senior NAM and 2 NAMs you will set the strategic growth agenda and take overall responsibility for sales activity. In addition to the management and development of your team you will manage a portfolio of larger turnover customers. Reporting into the Commercial Director you can expect a great degree of autonomy to build and develop the business.

Requirements

The successful candidate for this position will be currently operating in a retail focused National Account Controller or Account Director position. You will possess a minimum of 2 years people management experience. You will be a strong negotiator and have a good understanding of the NPD process. As for product background private label & chilled experience would be preferred however not essential.

This is a home-based position with an expectancy to be in their head office 1 / 2 days per week.
