An exciting opportunity to join one of Europe’s leading privately owned bakery suppliers as HR Business Partner is now available. Within the UK the business has achieved national distribution across the Retail, Wholesale and Foodservice channels. Business turnover currently stands at £80m and they employ 300 employees. The business has a glowing reputation across the industry and has been recognised by this through a number of industry and supplier awards. Following a recent management buyout, the business is seeking a HR professional to join the team.

Role

As an HR Business Partner, you will play a critical role in the service delivery of the HR function. Reporting to the Head of Human Resources you will partner line managers to support delivery of the people plan. The role acts as a first point of contact for generalist matters including employment relations, recruitment and selection, reward, policies, procedures, and compliance.  

  Main Duties & Responsibilities include;  

. Provide a generalist ‘help desk’ HR service to all people managers and colleagues in the business. Consisting of query management and associated advice, imparting knowledge, taking every opportunity to build capabilities, creation of appropriate documentation, tracking/logging of accurate data records and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
.Build credibility, rapport and trust with all Managers that contact the Helpdesk.
.Ownership and management of people data systems/processes, to support the employee life cycle (including payroll instructions).
.Produce monthly workforce metrics and HR KPI’s, interpret and analyse performance, identifying areas of concern to work proactively with line managers implementing action plans to improve performance and achieve targets.
.Advise, document and manage end to end ER cases, ensuring high risk/immerging issues are escalated to the Head of HR.
.Support hiring managers with the recruitment and selection process from identifying the need to hire through approval process, sourcing candidates, offer and onboarding stages.
.Support people managers to drive the performance, talent and succession agenda in their functions. Creating action plans to form pipelines of emerging talent.
.Accountable for the management and review of employment contracts, new starter administration compliance and policy/procedure creation where required.
.Conducting compliance checks on all HR documentation (policies, personal files, payroll procedures), identifying areas for improvement and proposing appropriate changes.
.Manage the monthly payroll instruction administration, reporting analysis, supporting with query management, and identifying actions to take in order to improve management input accuracy.
 
Requirements  

.CIPD qualification or relevant and equivalent experience in HR.
.Experience of working in a HR Advisor capacity within a fast paced commercially orientated organisation who is enthusiastic about providing practical solution.
.knowledge and experience in all aspects of HR.
.Employee relations experience with a good working knowledge of UK employment law, comfortable to undertake end to end case management.
.Good problem-solving skills.
.Can work under pressure juggling multiple tasks and achieve deadlines.
.Able to build positive relationships with leaders, managers, and colleagues.
.Able to convey ideas and advice clearly, concisely, with conviction and in a persuasive manner often in the face of opposition when advice is challenged.
.Able to understand the HR priorities arising from operational management issues, advising managers appropriately and persuasively on the action they should take, evaluating and assessing the impact and risks of such action.
.High standard of verbal and written communication skills/able to generate own correspondence and reports.
.Have adequate computer skills including MS Office (including excel), HRIS, Internet and email programs.
.Possess commercial understanding with sound GDPR knowledge.
.Team Player with a solution orientation and a drive for results.

  The successful candidate for this opportunity will have HR experience within one of the following industries; FMCG including Food Manufacturing, Retail, Wholesale or Hospitality.
