As we embark on the next phase of our journey, we are seeking a talented Sales Director to join our team. This pivotal role will play a significant part in driving the continued success of Ceuta Healthcare as we bid farewell to our incumbent Sales Director after 19 years of service.

Role

As a key strategic board-level position within Ceuta Healthcare, this role holds significant importance. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will assume the responsibility of leading, motivating, driving, and developing the Healthcare commercial team. This includes overseeing Channel Controllers responsible for managing relationships in Grocery & Pharmacy. Collaboration with these direct reports will be essential to ensure that teams are well-trained, informed, and performing optimally.

The primary focus of this role revolves around driving sales for Ceuta Healthcare while achieving budgeted EBIT targets. Additionally, the incumbent will possess the ability to influence the strategic shape of key clients, brands, and accounts, maintaining a long-term vision and strategy that guides both teams and clients accordingly. Ensuring that sales structures effectively meet client needs and cultivating strong relationships with key clients to support both the clients and the sales teams will be crucial, with a value-added approach through insights and direction.

Effective management of the cost base and the development of long-term business relationships will also be integral to this position. The Sales Director will play a vital role in identifying and developing new business opportunities, expanding the company’s reach and fostering growth. With such diverse

Requirements

The successful candidate for this role should possess a proven track record in sales, showcasing their ability to achieve results. With a minimum of 3 years’ experience at the Sales Director level within either the Health, Personal Care or branded FMCG sector. A strong leader, they should thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment, willing to roll up their sleeves and lead by example. Additionally, the ideal candidate will ideally hold a degree-level qualification

Demonstrating a proven track record of cultivating senior-level customer relationships, especially with notable retailers such as Boots, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, and ASDA, is a prerequisite for this role. Previous experience in creating and driving strategic plans that result in long-term value creation is a must, showcasing their ability to envision and execute impactful strategies. Familiarity with a client-facing organisation would be advantageous, while aligning with Ceuta Healthcare’s culture and values is paramount.

Location

This role is predominantly home-based, but regular travel to meet customers is expected, with an average of 2 to 3 days per fortnight spent at Ceuta Healthcare’s head office in Bournemouth.
